However, police and other government officials are allowed to place certain narrow restrictions on the exercise of speech rights. Make sure you’re prepared by brushing up on your rights before heading out into the streets.

**Special Meeting of Dallas City Council**

Friday, June 5 at 2 PM
The City Council meeting will be held by videoconference.
Response by the City of Dallas and partner government agencies to protests over the killing of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, in Minneapolis, as well as civil unrest leading to the declaration of a Local State of Disaster on May 31, 2020.

Individuals who wish to speak must register by 5 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in accordance with the City Council Rules of Procedure must sign up with the City Secretary's Office: HERE or by calling 214-670-3738.
